Hannah's Education & Occupations:

From the moment Hannah heard Beethoven's "Fur Elise," she has desired to play the piano. In 2008, she studied piano for one year with Terry Gehr, until 2009, when she began studying with Lisa Harpole Heath until her high school graduation in 2018. She then studied under Dr. Julia Mortyakova for 4 years in college, and is now a Pianist, Composer, and Piano Teacher in her area.

 

In 2018, Hannah was accepted into the Music Department at the Mississippi University for Women (MUW) in Columbus, MS and studied piano with Dr. Julia Mortyakova (2018-2022). Hannah graduated at the MUW in May of 2022 with a B.A. in Piano Performance and a focus in Composition. She was a regularly performing pianist at the MUW, and she performed in countless NACUSA, Showcase, and Student Recitals.  Hannah continues to perform regularly at her Student's Piano Recitals, at Composition Performances, and also posts her playing on her YouTube Channel: HannahEHMusic along with the YouTube Channel: B&H Music shared by Hannah and her husband, Biraj Adhikari.  She has most of her Piano Works or live Performances streaming for free on music platforms.

Hannah is a member of the Music Teacher's National Association (MTNA)  and is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC). She actively Teaches Piano Full Time  investing in her students through Recitals, Evaluations, and Competitions offered through these memberships. Hannah uses her skills as a Composer in her Piano Studio, while also Composing and Performing her music. She writes Piano Studies and Piano Method Books for her students, and writes instructional or recreational music upon commission. She is the Church Pianist at her home church, Calvary Baptist Church, and is also collaborative, accompanist, and performing pianist in her local area.

Community Service

Hannah performs piano hymns, compositions, and other music for her local Banks and Nursing Homes as a Community Service in music. Sometimes her Students join her too! She loves sharing joy through Music to those least appreciated or thought of. 

Hannah as a Composer:

Hannah is an Award Winning Composer as well as being a Private Piano Teacher. She won 1st place in the MTNA Young Artist State Competition 3 years in a row from 2019-2021, and continues to win awards for her many compositions. Hannah especially enjoys performing her piano solo compositions for her Composer's League Concerts in NACUSA or for any local Concerts. Hannah is a current active member inthe National Association of Composers USA (NACUSA), a member of Music Teacher's National Association (MTNA),  and a member of BMI Classical. She received Music Composition lessons from Dr. Joe L. Alexander & former MMTA president, Dr. Valentin Bogdan during her college years, 2018-2022, and continues to further her education in Music Theory as she composes today.

Hannah has been writing music since she was 11 years old. She has also attended Piano Camps, Competitions, and State Festivals where Composing and Theory knowledge was frequently challenged. Hannah writes music regularly for her Piano Students as well as for her own enjoyment. She continues to collaborate and write for other performers to pursue her love for writing music. For Hannah, writing music is a way to express herself to the world. Though she typically writes compositions for solo piano or voice, she enjoys writing for solo or duet instruments as well as for chamber or choral music. For Hannah, Music is her way of expressing herself to the world and her way of worship to her Saviour, Jesus Christ.
